Love – Scriptures

1 Corinthians 14: 4-7

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;

it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Revelation 21:4

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Psalms 40: 11

Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.

1  Peter 3: 8-10

8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one another; love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

9 Not rendering evil for evil or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 12:21

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Luke 6:27-28

27 “But I say unto you that hear: Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you.

28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them that despitefully use you.

Galatians 5:22-23

27 “But I say unto you that hear: Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you.

28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them that despitefully use you.
