you have value

Devotional: Celebrate Yourself!

you have value

Psalm 118:24

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

God gives you blessings and triumphs so that you can celebrate. He wants you to praise Him in the good and bad times. He also wants you to celebrate and appreciate yourself. You are a conqueror. That deserves appreciation. We don’t dishonor God by appreciating our worth. It’s the exact opposite. We glorify Him by walking confidently in our worth and blessings. He doesn’t want you to be timid when you receive recognition. He wants you to humbly celebrate yourself and Him who all blessings come through.

Don’t confuse celebrating yourself with being proud. There is a humbleness that comes with acknowledging your worth. When you know that you don’t have to compete with anyone, you appreciate your uniqueness. You are able to humbly celebrate yourself. You are also able to praise and glorify the One who made you.

Psalm 139:13-15

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

Today, celebrate yourself. Appreciate how far you have come. Remind those around you to celebrate themselves as well. We get so caught up in appreciating others, that we sometimes forget to appreciate our own gifts and talents. Go into this week confidently, knowing that you are one of God’s most special creations.

Affirmation: I am grateful for all of my unique gifts and talents. I am confidant that everything I do will be blessed, because God does not set me up to fail.

Thank You for making me one of a kind. Thank you for helping me to see my worth. Please help those who are feeling unworthy, know that they have worth. Anyone who belongs to a King is of great worth. I pray for peace and joy in my life. I pray that through You I am strengthened. I pray for abundant blessings in my life and the lives of everyone that I touch. Please use me in a way that stretches me beyond my comfort. Thank You for Your favor and grace.

In Jesus Name, I pray. Amen.
