Psalm 139:13-15 (ESV)
13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You deserve to live a happy and fulfilled life. God’s promise still holds true in your life. He wants you to feel loved, at peace, and have His presence in your life. I wrote this devotional to let you know that you are worth it to Him.
I used to feel unworthy. I thought that I didn’t deserve love or anything good to happen to me. It wasn’t until I heard the whisper of God tell me that I am worthy, that things started to change in my life. I started to embrace my worthiness and not let others tear away the worth that God had given to me.
It’s important to appreciate who you are. We live in a world of negativity. Where other people try to tear you down because they don’t love themselves. A world where competition has gotten out of hand. The great thing is that when you walk with God, you appreciate your uniqueness. You start to understand that you were meant to stand out. You stop comparing yourself to others. And the only competition that you have is with yourself, as you strive to be better than you were yesterday.
Embrace who you are. Love who you are. In order to fully appreciate yourself, you have to first love yourself. This means loving the things about yourself that seem hard to love; the flaws. We all have them. I would love to change some things about myself, but I embrace who I am. As I transform into the woman that I want to become, I don’t let my flaws hinder me from moving forward. You have a purpose that is greater than any flaw that you may have.
You are worthy of peace and happiness. If you want to change your circumstances, you must first change your thoughts. Begin today by doing something that will move you into the direction of your purpose. You are worth it.
Affirmation: I am worthy of happiness and blessings. I will chase after the destiny that God has for me.
