Matthew 7:13-14 (ESV)
13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
The hardest thing for me to do is to make a decision. Im going to be honest; making decisions scare me. It’s not the choice itself, but the fear of making the wrong choice. I’m not referring to simple decisions such as deciding on what I am having for dinner. I mean the big choices that we’ve all had to face at some point in our lives. When I am faced with making a decision that is outside of my comfort zone, I talk to God. He has given each of us the free will to make our own decisions. It is up to us to make the right ones. Whether you are deciding what you are having for dinner or making a huge life decision, you always have a choice.
I used to believe that I didn’t have a choice. I thought that life just happened and I had no choice but to accept it. I thought that negativity was normal and I was supposed to tolerate it. I was so wrong. When I gave my life to Christ, I learned that I was free to choose. I had the right to choose a life free of negativity. I chose to rise above trials and tests. I chose God’s way because it is far better than my own.
If you are faced with making a decision, it’s time to choose. I have learned that the farther you put off making a decision, the more you are postponing your progress. You can’t move forward until you make a choice to do so. You have to decide today that you are going to live the best life possible.
Whatever choices you are faced with today are yours to make. As long as you have God leading you, you will not fail.
