2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
We have all been tempted at some point in our lives. The hardest thing to do is turn away from the temptation. You may give in.You may remain strong. Whether you give in to temptation or not, God will always forgive you. He will welcome you back with open arms. This doesn’t give us permission to purposefully sin, but it is reassurance that God will never forsake you. If you have found yourself on the wrong path, it’s not too late. You can turn it around.
2 Chronicles 7:14 was spoken by God to Solomon, after he had prayed. Solomon prayed for many things, but the main thing that he prayed for was for sinners to be forgiven. He prayed that God would not turn His back on sinners. God responded to Solomon’s prayer by telling him that He would forgive the sins of His people. God said that He would forgive their sins if they: 1) humble themselves, 2)pray, 3) seek God, and 4)turn from their wicked ways.
Sinning wasn’t a new concept to the people of Israel. They sinned multiple times before this prayer took place and God forgave them each time. God’s love for His people is why He forgave them time and time again. God’s love for us is why Jesus was sent to die for our sins.
You still have time to turn it around. I don’t care what happened in the past, God loves you. He loves you more than you know. He doesn’t want to see you struggling and lost. God wants you to have peace and joy. You may think that it’s too late, but it’s not. God is the only one that I know that can bless a mess.
I humbly come to you today in prayer for the woman that is reading this right now. She needs healing in her life Lord. She has been waiting for a breakthrough and is about to give up. I pray that you strengthen her Lord. Please give her the grace to carry on. Please reassure her that her past mistakes won’t hinder her future. She can still turn it around Father. I pray for every area of her life to be blessed. I pray for peace in her mind, body, and spirit. I pray that she knows how much you love her. Jesus is the testament to your love for her Father. I pray that she knows that she is of great worth. May she never have to struggle again. I pray that the new direction she is heading in blesses her beyond measure. I pray that her latter days shall be greater than her former days. Thank you for your unfailing love Father.
In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
